Prioritize and Act: Group fixes by impact and effort, translate them into a clear and actionable roadmap, and measure progress through improved task success and reduced error rates. 5. Make It Routine: UX audits aren’t one-and-done. Schedule them quarterly or before major releases, just like a health check for your product.

Despite your heartfelt efforts, your product's growth stalls, leaving you feeling stuck. Customers sign up. Then slip away. You solve one problem, only to chase the next “must-have” feature, still wondering why traction is weak. These frustrations are real, and here’s what no one tells you: when your product isn’t easy to use, people give up or choose a competitor without you even knowing.

It turns out you’re not alone. Research shows that poor product user experience is a real killer. DQ isn’t just a design meetup but was an idea pitched by Mr. Aravinth Sivasamboo, CEO of Bix Bytes Solutions, the parent company of Coco Grid. The event helped our UI/UX community to create a better network by providing a platform to bring out creativity and make it memorable. The DQ event was packed with industry leaders, like-minded designers, and inspiring voices. We gathered 25 attendees at the first event and exceeded 100 attendees in the second.

The first Design Quest (DQ) 2023 took place on March 11, at Ocean Pearl Mangalore. Design leaders like Jeevan Lazarus, a UX Designer, working as a Product Designer at a startup, dispersed his knowledge on the power of emotion in design. Pradeep Bhat provided a better view of design systems. Sheshachal Joshi Product designer at the same startup, focuses on creating exceptional user experiences. He offered his expertise in mastering the basics of UX/UI design, while Sridara A, Lead UX/UI designer at Media Shark, conducted an insightful design concepts workshop. Rashmi Prabhu and Maniraj Putharan from Coco Grid shared their expertise on the topics of design thinking mindset and UX maturity.

After the success of DQ 2023, Coco Grid hosted Design Quest 2024 on February 24, at MITE (Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering) College. The aim was to make it even bigger and attract more participants. Organizing this event was no easy feat, but our Coco Grid team excelled in every aspect. We showcased our expertise in branding, social media, and event management, delivering a memorable experience. Our branding team incorporated local patterns, creating a captivating brand identity. We developed a user-friendly website for registrations, garnering over 100+ sign-ups. Our social media campaigns reached 4,000+ people, and our dedicated website, <a href='https://www.thedezignquest.com' target='_blank'>thedezignquest</a> was a key promotional tool. Coco Grid's meticulous planning and collaboration with speakers and the venue team ensured a seamless event that attendees will cherish.

The occasion included keynote speeches, interactive sessions, and short talks from external speakers such as Pramod Sinha from Sand Cup Design Studio, our main speaker who engaged the audience with a talk on ‘Design Outlook and Approach’. Followed by Punit Chawla, founder of Design Wings, who conducted an interactive session on 'When a Designer Builds a Business from Scratch - How A.I., Design Thinking & Tech Helps'. And Pradeep Bhat, CEO of Akruthi Design Studio took an interactive session on “Data Visualization and User Experience”.

Naveen Ferrao, head of Coco Grid, opened the event with an inspiring address that set a positive tone. Our Coco Grid speakers, Sanith Suvarna, Shashikant Kapikad, Rashmi Prabhu, and Maniraj Puthran, shared their valuable insights on a range of topics, including why digital transformation fails, AI in UI/UX design, What’s a problem, and Design Psychology with the Neuroscience of Awesome UX. Following Punit’s engaging session, Vinola Pinto and Kiran Kumar shared their expertise on the topic impact of bias in UX design and the Need for speed in design. To cap off the day, Naveen Ferrao moderated a panel discussion featuring Pramod, Punit, Pradeep, and Kiran Shetty (Head of AIOTRIX). The panelists explored the future of UI/UX, delving into concepts beyond screens and buttons. This discussion was a highlight of the event, generating significant interest from the audience. Attendees praised the event for its impact and the opportunity to network with design leaders and peers.
